JAKAB is an exceptional, fast and seaworthy yacht. Her design originated in 1908 – her 8-meter design won early 19th century Olympics competitions. After World War II’s interruption of America’s Cup competitions, 8-meter racing sloops like JAKAB raced in the America’s Cup races in 1958 and thereafter. One of her sisterships, “Tourjours Ete”, was owned by musical group The Beach Boys – and includes a Jacuzzi tub, piano and 16-track recording studio. Another sister ship, “Eros”, circumnavigated the globe twice. Another sistership was owned by former Senator Teddy Kennedy. Other similar hulls are sailing the three major oceans. Jakab is a vintage sailing yacht of timeless design. Notably, Jakab’s mast initially belonged to Former Prime Minister Sir Edward Heath of Great Britain. When Sir Heath retired from racing he sold the mast to the former owner of JAKAB.
